Exploration
& Rocketry
As you may or may not know, Britain is
going back into space to explore the moon.
As of December 2007 it has been reported in
the media that Mullard Space Science
Laboratory(MSSL) part of University College
London (UCL), and others ,are currently
working on instruments that will penetrate
the moons surface and detect seismic
activity such as moonquakes and chemical
volatiles under the surface. There has been
support from ESA and NASA with the
MoonLITE project , other missions are
planned and could be the start of Britain
being invloved in space exploration on a
major scale. This won't be just a success for
Britian, we on planet Earth are returning to
the moon and this is the testing the
ground,so to speak, for future manned
missions to the moon and possibly beyond.
